Drew and I made a trip to Sacramento for a quick weekend wedding reception for my cousin Chris and his wonderful new wife Jen. They were married in Hawaii at a small ceremony, so they had a reception a couple of months after the fact. It was such a blessing to get to spend time with my parents, aunts and uncles, and cousins. It has been a long time since I have seen them and none of them had ever met Drew so that was so fun. Oh how I love these people.
A morning walk with my parents along the Folsom river. While there I thought of my beautiful grandmother who I miss dearly. I believe she was there with us during this celebration.
Getting ready for the main event.
Where do you keep the food when there is no room in the fridge, the bathtub of course!
Watching the world cup while the party starts!
Towards the end of the reception Drew needed a little playtime. So we walked the 4-5 blocks down to this great park. It was a bit farther than I thought, those shoes weren't the right choice.
I got a text with this cute picture. Mark and the boys went to an Iowa Cubs minor league game while we partied at the reception.
My dad, Aunt Deb, Uncle Dave, and Uncle Andy. The four siblings.
The newlyweds are at the far right of this great picture.
The morning we left, we all met for breakfast!
During a layover we had lunch and Drew had his favorite…a great big glass of milk!
