A Very Special Birthday

At the end of January Drew celebrated a big birthday, his 8th birthday!  In our church children are baptized at age 8.  At this age it is felt that children can make their own decision to be baptized and to be accountable for the decisions between right and wrong.  It is a special day.  And it was made even more so because Grandma and Grandpa Moring were able to join us here in Chile.
A doughnut cake for the family celebration.

It was a few days of celebration - one at home with family, at Drew's birthday party, and then at his baptism.
At the Advetura Centre for a party with friends.

You can not believe the amount of tickets these kids were getting!

The big day.  It was beautiful.  Drew looked so happy and when Mark performed the baptism it was a very sweet moment for all present.  Drew is a sweet, sometimes serious, thoughtful, and happy boy.  He has a quick wit and loves to read, play soccer, and swim (he is always in the pool).  Drew watches out for his family and friends.  He is compassionate and is our peace maker.  I love you Drewbug!
