Our second day was a great one. We had a rocky morning, as Easton wasn't feeling 100%, but by lunch he was back to normal. We had a tour company take our family to some of the great spots in the area. We had a fantastic English speaking guide who knew all about the area, plants, animals, and birds. We started with a small stop for pictures in front of the Volcan Osorno.
Then we went to the Saltos del Petrohue. The backdrop to these waterfalls are all the volcanoes in the area and a beautiful forest. Plus the water, I just couldn't get over how clear the water was.

| While at the waterfall area there was a short 25 minute loop hike in the forest. We had the whole hike to our selves and the guide filled our brains full of facts and stories of the forest. Our boys just drank up all this information. |

| See the branch Dallin has? We all had these to shew away all these flies that they have in the lake districts of Chile. For three weeks out of each year these flies that look somewhat like horse flies show up. They need mammal blood to lay eggs, so they come on a hunt. Luckily the sting doesn't hurt too much and leaves no stinger or lasting pain. These flies pollinate the plants as well and make a honey like substance (which Mark and I tried and both thought was much like thick sugar water). They got annoying because of the shear number of them, but only a couple of us got bit. |
